EXAMINATION RULES & REGULATIONS
DRESS CODE FOR FINAL EXAMINATION
(ALL PROGRAMMES)
The following rules will apply for appropriate dress code during Final Examination sessions :
Students are prohibited (not allowed) from wearing clothing with the following
a) any clothing with insignias, symbols or adornments which may promote the use of controlled substances, including but not limited to drugs, alcohol or tobacco;
b) clothing which features offensive or vulgar words, pictures or drawings;
c) clothing which features phrases/pictures of a sexual nature or phrases/pictures that are derogatory regarding a person’s ethnical background , , national origin, religious belief, sexual orientation or disability;
d) the wearing of clothing or insignia which features a group or philosophy which advocates violence or disruption;
Generally Prohibited (not allowed) Clothing :
Male
- No shorts , ¾ shorts short sized shorts etc. are allowed. Only slacks and long jeans allowed. No drawings / purposeful cuttings should be on the jeans.
- No round collared or hooded t-shirts allowed. Only collared t – shirts with appropriate wordings and drawings are allowed. T – shirt length should be the standard normal length
- No sleeveless t – shirts allowed. Short and long sleeved t – shirts are allowed.
- Shirts with appropriate wordings and drawings are allowed.
- No slippers / sandals are allowed . Only sneakers , sports shoes and black leather shoes are allowed.
- Maintain appropriate hairstyle to be neat , tidy and decent at all times. Students will be asked to remove unnecessary accessories from their hair.
Female
- No shorts , ¾ shorts, short sized shorts etc. are allowed. Only slacks and long jeans allowed. No drawings / purposeful cuttings should be on the jeans.
- No round collared or hooded t-shirts allowed. Only collared t – shirts with appropriate wordings and drawings are allowed. T – shirt length should be the standard normal length.
- No sleeveless t – shirts allowed. Short and long sleeved t – shirts are allowed.
- Shirts with appropriate wordings and drawings are allowed.
- No slippers / sandals are allowed . Only sneakers , sports shoes and black leather shoes are allowed. High - heeled shoes for ladies are allowed.
- Only knee length or full length skirts are allowed for female students.
- Maintain appropriate hairstyle to be neat , tidy and decent at all times. Students will be asked to remove unnecessary accessories from their hair.
